Integrated biological fermentation gas production device with high efficiency and low consumption

Sinochem News A few days ago, experts organized by the Heilongjiang Provincial Department of Science and Technology conducted an evaluation of the results of the research on the integrated high-efficiency bio-fermentation gas production device of the Heilongjiang Province Science and Technology Project undertaken by the Harbin Engineering University. Experts believe that the promotion and application of the results of the project can provide an important technology demonstration effect for the two-phase anaerobic gas production process, and promote the industrial application of biomass energy using cheap waste as raw materials.
The project uses straw wastes and sugar industry wastewater that are common in northern regions to produce biogas. The project team is based on a new type of high-efficiency mixed flow-upflow integrated two-phase anaerobic gas production device independently developed by the patented equipment. The optimized coupling of the acid-producing mixed-flow CSTR zone and the methane-producing phase upflow UASB zone and the optimized process operation strategy have realized the stable gas production operation of the system using industrial waste water, straw hydrolysate and other cheap biomass as the substrate.
The project team designed and built a pilot scale integrated two-phase anaerobic gas production device and auxiliary facilities with a volume of 1.62 cubic meters of the main gas production device. The multi-stage coupling heating system supporting the pilot plant greatly reduced the energy consumption of the system. During the stable operation of the pilot plant, the maximum utilization rate of straw reached 20.8 kg/m³·day; the gas production rate per unit volume reached 5.85 m³/m³·day, which is much higher than the current actual biogas project 0.9~1.6 m³ /M3·day of gas production.
